About Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne
Crandon opened in 1972 on a former coconut plantation at the north end of Key Biscayne, a Miami-Dade County municipal course and the only public layout fronting Biscayne Bay. Originally designed by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin, it was significantly redesigned by von Hagge in 1993. From 1997 to 2004 it hosted the Senior PGA Tour's Royal Caribbean Classic, drawing Lee Trevino, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Raymond Floyd and Gary Player, and it is known for its mangrove- and bay-lined holes.
