About DeLaveaga Golf Course

DeLaveaga Golf Course is the city-owned 18-hole municipal course in Santa Cruz's DeLaveaga Park, on land left to Santa Cruz for a public park by financier Jose Vicente de Laveaga in the 1890s. After a 1960 park master plan, architect Bert Stamps was hired in 1968 to design the course, which opened in 1970 across forested hillsides and canyons. It reports over 3,000,000 rounds played.
