Draper Valley Golf Club

Draper Valley Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course tucked into the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia, near the town of Draper below the Draper Mountain range. Designed by architect Hal Louthen, the course opened in 1992 and stretches to roughly 7,000-plus yards at a par of 72. The traditional layout is routed across about 205 acres of rolling foothills, lakes, marshes, and forest, using the natural mountain terrain as its framing rather than fighting it. The property is steeped in early Virginia history: the signature ninth hole is played with the old John Draper homeplace as its backdrop, tying the course to the family whose name the valley carries. The result is an accessible, scenic mountain test that welcomes players of all abilities.
