About The Country Club of Virginia - Tuckahoe Creek
The Tuckahoe Creek Course is the newer of The Country Club of Virginia's two 18-hole layouts, opening on April 15, 1988. Designed by architect Joseph Lee, it sits on more than 240 acres in Richmond's western reaches, on land historically tied to Tuckahoe Plantation, the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson. Lee's routing threads through that rolling ground with a demanding mix of 76 bunkers, seven lakes and the namesake creek, putting a premium on accurate iron play and a steady putting stroke. Where the club's James River Course leans on golden-age character, Tuckahoe Creek offers a more modern, water-laced test, giving members a distinctly different challenge within the same storied institution. It has anchored CCV's golf program for more than three decades.
