About Glendoveer Golf Club

Glendoveer is a historic 36-hole public facility now owned by Metro, the regional government. Built by the Stenzel family on a former potato farm as part of a planned real estate development, its East Course, designed by John Stenzel, opened in 1926, followed by the West Course about two years later, making Glendoveer the first 36-hole golf course in Oregon. Long a fixture of east Portland, the facility marked its 100th anniversary in the mid-2020s.
