Gleneagles Country Club

Gleneagles Country Club opened in the mid-1980s in Plano, Texas, in the Willow Bend area north of Dallas, as a private 36-hole club. Both of its courses, the King's and the Queen's, were designed by the well-traveled team of Australian tour player turned architect Bruce Devlin and American designer Robert von Hagge, who borrowed the Scottish Gleneagles name for a pair of parkland layouts. The King's is generally considered the sterner test, weaving links-style mounding, trees, water and White Rock Creek through its routing, while the Queen's leans on lakes and shot values. Both have since been renovated, the King's by Pascuzzo and Pate and the Queen's reopening in 2024 after extensive work. The club is part of the Invited (formerly ClubCorp) network.
