About Laredo Country Club

The Laredo Country Club is a private club whose 18-hole course was built by Texas Golf Hall of Fame architect Joseph S. "Joe" Finger in the early 1980s along the banks of the Rio Grande, opening in 1983 (some listings say 1984). The par-72 course plays over 7,100 yards with tree-lined fairways, heavy rough, water and sand throughout, and fast, undulating bermuda greens; the finishing 18th is a long dogleg left with water the full length and a peninsula green. Since 2002 it has served as the home course for Texas A&M International University's golf programs.
