About Mckay Creek Golf Course

McKay Creek sits on the former Naught dairy site along McKay Creek on Hillsboro's west side; its clubhouse is the original 1929 farmhouse. The extended Reding family wanted to build and operate a golf course and did so with labor from family and friends, clearing land from 1994 and closing on the property in 1995. The public course was designed by Bill O'Meara and Jeremy Reding, and listings give the opening as 1996 (Oregon Courses says 1995).
