About Miramar Memorial Golf Course

Miramar Memorial Golf Course at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar is credited to Jack Daray, ASGCA, and opened in 1966 (one source gives 1961). It is a military-operated 18-hole, par-72 course of about 6,818 yards, with limited public play. Its 640-yard ninth hole is billed as the longest par 5 in Southern California, and the course hosted the 2001 Armed Forces Golf Tournament.
