Mystic Creek Golf Club

Mystic Creek sits in the piney woods of southern Arkansas at El Dorado, a championship course routed by architect Ken Dye. Ground was first broken around 2001, but after years of stops and starts the layout was not completed until roughly 2012 and opened for play in 2013. Stretching to about 7,500 yards, it earns comparisons to some of the game's cathedrals: pine-framed corridors reminiscent of Augusta National, flashed bunkering, and domed, runoff greens with a Pinehurst flavor. Water hugs several of the opening holes, and the par-3 12th nods directly to Augusta's famous short hole. In 2018 hometown company Murphy USA acquired the course and partnered with Troon to operate it. Since 2015 Mystic Creek has hosted the Epson Tour's Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout, tying the club to the town's broader Murphy Arts District investment.
