Paako Ridge Gc

Perched around 6,500 feet on the east flank of the Sandia Mountains, Paa-Ko Ridge opened in 2000 as an 18-hole Ken Dye design and immediately drew national attention, earning Golf Digest's Best New Public Course honors that year. The layout threads landing areas and greens between arroyos, granite outcroppings, and stands of piñon and juniper, using the mountain terrain rather than fighting it. Dye returned to add a third nine in 2005, giving the club its modern 27-hole configuration that stretches past 7,500 yards from the back tees across three eighteen-hole combinations. Named for nearby ancestral Pueblo ruins, the course is routinely cited among the finest public tracks in New Mexico and the Southwest, prized for dramatic elevation, high-desert conditioning, and long mountain views.
