NCR Country Club

NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio, was built in 1954 for employees of the National Cash Register Company, with its championship South Course designed by acclaimed architect Dick Wilson. Wilson's muscular, well-bunkered parkland design quickly drew major championships to the Dayton area. The South Course hosted the 1969 PGA Championship, won by Raymond Floyd, and the 1986 U.S. Women's Open, won by Jane Geddes in a playoff. It later staged the 2005 U.S. Senior Open, won by Allen Doyle, among other USGA and PGA events, giving the club a rare record of hosting men's, women's, and senior national championships. Recognized by Golfweek among America's best classic courses, the South Course remains a stern, tree-lined test prized for the enduring quality of Wilson's Golden-era-influenced design and its deep tournament heritage.
