Why we love this place
A modern Stephen Kay design that brings real bite to Rockland County, with water, bunkers and rolling terrain all asking good questions. We love New York Country Club for its championship feel, its semi-private welcome and a layout that rewards golfers who think their way around.

About New York Country Club
New York Country Club occupies rolling ground on Brick Church Road in the village of New Hempstead, in Rockland County. Designed by architect Stephen Kay and opened in the mid-1990s, the semi-private eighteen plays to about 6,640 yards with a rating of 72.3 and a slope of 133, a stiff test from the back tees. Kay used the natural roll of the land, weaving several water features and strategically placed bunkers into the routing, with three sets of tees to suit different abilities. Alongside the course, the club offers a driving range, teaching professionals and memberships, along with banquet facilities that host weddings and events, making it a social hub for Rockland County golfers as well as a demanding modern test of the game.
