About Oak Point Golf Course

Oak Point, designed by Clyde Johnston, opened in 1989 and originally operated as Hope Plantation Golf Course. Kiawah Island Golf Resort acquired it in 1997; though marketed as a resort course, it actually sits on neighboring Johns Island along the Kiawah River and Haulover Creek. A front-nine renovation was completed in 2004 in consultation with Johnston, and it was named 2019 Course of the Year by the Charleston-area golf course owners association.
