About Oakwoods Country Club

Oakwoods Country Club traces to a 1952 meeting of Wilkes County residents; the original nine-hole course and clubhouse, designed by Scottish architect Arthur Ham, were built beginning in 1953, and the renamed Oakwoods Country Club opened in January 1954. A second nine was added in 1962 under head professional Bill Greene, and Kris Spence renovated the layout in 2001. The 18-hole course plays about 6,438 yards to a par of 72.
