About Ocean View Golf Course

Ocean View Golf Course is a Norfolk municipal 18-hole course a few hundred yards from the Chesapeake Bay. Military veterans built it beginning in 1929, and it opened in 1930. It has hosted four Virginia State Opens and a 1963 exhibition featuring Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Sam Snead. A $2.8 million renovation, paid for by American Golf Corp. and the City of Norfolk, was completed in 2000.
