The Old Course at the Omni Homestead in Hot Springs began as a six-hole layout in 1892 and has the oldest first tee in continuous use in the United States. It grew to 18 holes by 1901 and was later reworked by Donald Ross. The resort itself traces to an 18-room wooden hotel opened in 1766.
