Bryce Resort in Basye grew from Bryce's Hillside Cottages and Mineral Baths, opened in 1909 by William Brice to catch overflow guests from the Orkney Springs Hotel. Its 18-hole course is an Ed Ault design from the late 1960s or early 1970s, with Stony Creek in play on 12 holes in an alpine valley setting.
