About Pecan Hollow Golf Course
Pecan Hollow opened in 1973 as the Plano Municipal Golf Course, one of the first courses in the fast-growing Plano of the 1970s. Don January and Billy Martindale, fresh from Royal Oaks in Dallas, contracted with the city to design it. After a year-long renovation led by the Plano-based Weibring-Wolfard group, it reopened to the public on November 1, 2011. The original layout is known for a tough finish of par-4s on holes 16-18, each over 445 yards, with water in play.
