About The Plantation Course at Edisto

Tom Jackson designed the course, which opened in March 1974 as Oristo, with Sam Snead and Bob Goalby playing the ceremonial first round after arriving by helicopter. It was later called Edisto Beach Golf Club, was renamed after a full renovation in 2006, and is the only golf course on Edisto Island.
