About Port Royal Plantation - Planter'S Row
Designed by Willard C. Byrd and opened in the early 1980s (sources cite 1983-84), Planter's Row was the newest of Port Royal's courses. Its narrow, tree-lined fairways, small undulating greens and water on ten holes place a premium on accuracy, and it hosted the Hilton Head Seniors International on the PGA Seniors Tour in 1985. It later sustained severe damage from Hurricane Matthew in 2016.
