Quail Hollow was carved from the foothills, meadows and orchards of the former Zukus farmstead in Oakham and opened in 1991, with Phil Wogan — architect of more than 40 New England courses — as lead designer. Originally a shorter layout, it was expanded to a full 18 holes around 2000, and operates as an 18-hole semi-private club with bentgrass greens, open seasonally from roughly April through November.
