The course opened in May 1999 as River Bend Country Club, an 18-hole par-71 layout (about 6,659 yards) designed by Philip A. Wogan with George F. Sargent. The front nine plays open along the Town River while the back nine runs through tree-lined fairways. The Town of West Bridgewater acquired the property in 2017, and it now operates as the municipally owned West Bridgewater Country Club.
