Why we love this place

Ravenwood earned its reputation the day it opened, and it still delivers. Robin Nelson's only eastern design rolls across Finger Lakes country with pure bentgrass and real championship bones, proven by two New York State Amateurs. A must-play near Rochester.

About Ravenwood

Ravenwood Golf Club opened in 2002 in Victor, in the Finger Lakes country south-east of Rochester. It was designed by the late Robin Nelson of the firm Nelson & Haworth, and it is the only course he built in the eastern United States. Laid out with bentgrass tees, greens and fairways and five sets of tees reaching a little over 7,000 yards, it made an immediate impression when Golf Digest named it the fifth-best new public course in the country in its 2003 rankings. Ravenwood quickly became a tournament venue as well, hosting the New York State Men's Amateur Championship in 2003 and again in 2009, along with USGA and PGA qualifying. In 2026 the club began a renovation that redesigns its bunkers, expands and levels tees and improves drainage, with completion planned for 2027.
