Reynolds Lake Oconee

Reynolds Lake Oconee is a sprawling residential and resort golf community near Greensboro, Georgia, roughly midway between Atlanta and Augusta, spread across some 12,000 acres along the coves and 374 miles of shoreline of Lake Oconee. It has grown into one of the South's premier golf destinations, anchored by a Ritz-Carlton and a collection of championship courses from an all-star roster of architects: Bob Cupp (The Landing and The Preserve), Jack Nicklaus (Great Waters), Tom Fazio (The National and Richland), Rees Jones (The Oconee) and Jim Engh (Creek Club). Great Waters, which premiered in 1992 as one of Nicklaus's early design efforts, is the signature draw, winding much of its routing along the lakeshore, and it was rebuilt and modernized in a 2019 restoration. LINKS Magazine once cited it among the era's most influential courses.
