Richland Country Club

Richland Country Club traces its roots to 1901, when Nashville golfers chartered the Nashville Golf Club, an organization that changed sites several times and once played a layout Donald Ross designed in the early 1920s. The club later adopted the Richland name and, in 1988, moved to its current home in the rolling hill country south of the city, where Jack Nicklaus built a Signature course running alongside Granny White Park. In 2021, Atlanta architect Bill Bergin led a significant renovation, expanding greens and fairways, removing excess trees and rebuilding grass-faced bunkers to modernize the design and improve playability. The result blends Nicklaus's demanding shot values with a fresher, more strategic feel. With deep Middle Tennessee history and a contemporary championship layout, Richland stands among Nashville's premier private clubs.
