Riomar Country Club opened in 1919 and is the oldest golf course in Vero Beach, laid out by English-born architect Herbert Strong in the historic Riomar section on the barrier island. Seven of its holes overlook the Atlantic Ocean, reportedly the most oceanfront holes of any course in Florida; the par-70 course plays about 5,830 yards.
