RTJ Ross Bridge Golf

Ross Bridge opened in April 2005 in Hoover, arriving as the eleventh site on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail and among its most ambitious. It was designed by Roger Rulewich, the longtime associate of the late Robert Trent Jones Sr., who died in 2000. The 310-acre layout stretches to roughly 8,191 yards from the back tees, long ranked among the five longest courses in the world. The routing steps down a series of terraced valleys, and its signature moment is an 800-foot cascading waterfall tumbling between the ninth and eighteenth greens to link two lakes. Built with championship golf in mind, it includes hillside spectator viewing and frequent return paths to the clubhouse. The course anchors the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa and sits about two miles from the Trail's Oxmoor Valley complex.
