About Sawgrass Country Club - South/South Course
Sawgrass Country Club is the original private, member-owned club in Ponte Vedra Beach (founded 1974, ground broken 1972), separate from the neighboring TPC Sawgrass. Ed Seay designed the original 18 (East and West nines), and the club hosted the Tournament Players Championship from 1977-1981 before it moved to TPC Sawgrass in 1982. The club expanded to 27 holes with a South nine by Robert Walker that opened in 2015. (This "South/South" row is a listing artifact for the single South nine.)
