Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach is the original Sawgrass club (founded 1974, ground broken 1972), distinct from TPC Sawgrass. The original East and West nines were designed by Ed Seay, and the club hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Championship from 1977 through 1981 before the event relocated to TPC Sawgrass in 1982. A South nine by Robert Walker opened in 2015; this row is the West/South pairing.
