Sawmill Creek opened in 1974, one of Tom Fazio's earliest solo designs, at the resort of the same name in Huron. The par-71 course is bordered by Sawmill Creek, Lake Erie and the Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve. Cedar Point Resorts later renovated the resort.
