Shooting Star

Shooting Star opened in 2009 in Teton Village, tucked into a 250-acre meadow at the base of the Jackson Hole ski runs with the Grand Teton skyline overhead. The course marked Tom Fazio's first design in Wyoming, an exclusive private layout built as pure core golf with no housing lining the holes. Fazio wove roughly 50 acres of lakes, ponds, and a reshaped canal-turned-stream through the property, bringing water into play on thirteen of the eighteen holes, and stretched the card past 7,500 yards. At an elevation above 6,000 feet, shots fly noticeably farther, letting the generous scale feel manageable. Framed by mountains, sagebrush flats, and evergreen stands, it consistently ranks among the top modern courses in the country and is regarded as one of the finest and most private mountain golf experiences in the American West.
