About South Park Golf Course

South Park Golf Course is a nine-hole City of Buffalo municipal course in South Park, a Frederick Law Olmsted-designed park and arboretum laid out in 1892 and opened in 1893 as part of the second phase of Buffalo's park system. Recreational development began in 1915 with the golf course, and the public South Park Golf Club was founded in 1931. A golf shelter dates to the late 1920s, with a WPA-built clubhouse added in the 1930s.
