Spring Creek Ranch

Set on roughly 330 acres of a former working cattle ranch in Collierville, southeast of Memphis, Spring Creek Ranch is a Jack Nicklaus design that opened around the turn of the millennium, with sources varying between 1999 and 2000. The course was reportedly conceived when Nicklaus and the ranch's owner discussed the property during a hunting trip, and the routing was shaped to follow the land's natural rolling terrain rather than reengineer it. It plays as a long, water-laced test: many of the par fours stretch well beyond 430 yards and the great majority of holes bring water into play. Nicklaus has been widely quoted praising it as one of his best courses designed without an ocean view, and it consistently ranks among Tennessee's very top layouts.
