About The Concession Golf Club
The Concession opened in 2006 in the Lakewood Ranch area near Bradenton, a rare collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Tony Jacklin. Its name honors one of golf's most gracious moments: at the 1969 Ryder Cup, Nicklaus conceded a short putt to Jacklin on the final green, securing the first tie in the event's history and cementing a lasting friendship between the two men. That spirit shaped a course designed to stand apart, a championship, privately held facility with no homes crowding the fairways, so the golf stays front and center. The demanding Nicklaus layout winds through wetlands and native areas and quickly earned national acclaim. It has hosted marquee competition, including a World Golf Championships event contested there in February 2021, underscoring its reputation as one of Florida's toughest and most respected modern tests.
