The Glen Club

The Glen Club opened in 2001 on the grounds of the former Naval Air Station Glenview, which served the U.S. Navy from 1937 until its 1995 closure and once launched training flights and seaplanes near Lake Michigan. Tom Fazio transformed the flat airfield into a rolling parkland course, sculpting elevation changes, lakes, streams, and framing mounds where runways once ran. The result is a polished daily-fee and member experience just north of Chicago, complemented by a boutique inn and full clubhouse operated by KemperSports. The course has hosted the Illinois Open and served as a longtime qualifying and developmental venue. Celebrated for immaculate conditioning and dramatic shaping, The Glen Club shows how thoughtful design can turn a decommissioned military base into a memorable, walkable golf destination.
