Tri County C C

Est. 1924
Why we love this place

A century-old club that has weathered everything, including losing its clubhouse, and still plays like a championship test. We love Tri-County for its Tillinghast connection, its 139-slope bite from the tips and the tight-knit spirit that carried it into its second hundred years.

About Tri County C C

Tri-County Country Club sits on Route 39 in Forestville, in the farm and vineyard country of northern Chautauqua County, and celebrated its centennial in 2024 with a Roaring Twenties-themed party for members. In August 1935 the famed architect A.W. Tillinghast, designer of Bethpage Black, lent the club his help with the course. The semi-private eighteen plays to a par of 72 with 14 par-4s and a pair each of par-3s and par-5s, measuring 6,545 yards from the back tees with a rating of 73.1 and a slope of 139. Fire destroyed the clubhouse in 2023, and the club carried on with a temporary setup while planning a new one. It hosts Buffalo District Golf Association qualifiers, high school championships and junior tour events.
