About Barefoot Resort & Golf - Dye Club
The Dye Club is Pete Dye's contribution to Barefoot Resort & Golf, opening in 2000 as the most exclusive of the property's four courses. Set within the gated Dye Estates community and operating as a semi-private club, it is regularly cited as the most challenging Barefoot layout, stretching to roughly 7,343 yards at par 72. The design carries Dye's unmistakable fingerprints: dramatic visuals, aggressive strategic bunkering, expansive sandy waste areas, demanding water hazards, and firm, comparatively flat greens that place a premium on precise approach play and course management. Holes border the natural white sands of the Carolina Bays, and the more secluded, membership-oriented setting distinguishes the Dye Club from its resort siblings. It has been recognized as a Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year and remains a bucket-list target for accomplished players.
