About Bay Hill Club & Lodge - Champion/Charger

Bay Hill opened in 1961 with 18 holes credited to architect Dick Wilson. Arnold Palmer first played it in a 1965 exhibition and bought the club in the mid-1970s, owning it until his death in 2016. The Arnold Palmer Invitational has been held there since 1979. It is a private club with a lodge, now 27 holes across the Champion, Challenger and Charger nines.
