Colleton River Club - Dye Course

The Pete Dye Course opened in 1998 as the second 18 at Colleton River Club, joining an earlier Jack Nicklaus layout. Dye routed a links-inspired test through dense Lowcountry forest and open wetland, with small, undulating greens ringed by his trademark pot bunkers. More than half the holes deliver unobstructed views across Port Royal Sound toward the Atlantic. The course has hosted the South Carolina Amateur, U.S. Open and U.S. Amateur qualifiers, and the 2015 U.S. Junior Amateur, and Golf Digest named it among the nation's top new courses. Scenes from 'The Legend of Bagger Vance' were filmed here, and a 2016 restoration refreshed Dye's original shaping. The architect himself is said to have called it his finest work.
