Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale was designed and built by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1954 and opened on February 3, 1955, on the site of the defunct 1920s Floranada course. About a decade later Jones purchased the course and surrounding land, making it the only golf club the architect personally owned and operated; his family used it as their home club. It was later restored under a project led by Rees Jones.
