Downingtown Country Club is a George Fazio design from the mid-1960s. It was once part of the Downingtown Inn resort, which no longer operates, and despite its name it is a daily-fee public course. Gil Hanse and Jeff Broadbelt later redesigned it, adding a new irrigation system and two ponds, removing about 500 trees and enlarging the bunkers. In 1996 it hosted a qualifier for the U.S. Senior Open.
