The East Course at Dorado Beach was laid out by Robert Trent Jones Sr. for Laurance Rockefeller's Dorado Beach resort and opened in the late 1950s. Decades later, Robert Trent Jones Jr. led a renovation that restored his father's original design and added roughly 700 yards; the course reopened around 2011. It is one of the two courses that remain at TPC Dorado Beach.
