Fripp Island Resort - Ocean Point

Ocean Point Golf Links sits on the northern tip of Fripp Island, a barrier island in South Carolina's Lowcountry near Beaufort. The course was designed by George Cobb, the noted architect whose resume includes work at Augusta National, and it opened in 1964 as the island's seaside centerpiece. The par-72 layout is prized for its exposure to the water: several holes, among them the ninth, tenth and the closing stretch, run directly along the Atlantic Ocean and Fripp Inlet, giving five holes unobstructed ocean views amid marsh, maritime forest and shifting coastal winds. In October 2024, the course reopened after a multi-million-dollar renovation led by the Dye Designs Group, which recontoured greens, rebuilt bunkers and refreshed turf while preserving Cobb's original routing and character. It remains a signature draw of the Fripp Island Resort.
