About Granada Golf Course

Granada Golf Course opened on January 15, 1923, after construction began in 1922 under architect William Langford (of Langford and Moreau) for developer George Merrick's 'City Beautiful,' Coral Gables. Golf proved so popular that club professional Charlie Thum was giving lessons before the course was even finished. Owned and operated by the City of Coral Gables, the 9-hole, par-36 layout is the oldest continuously operating 9-hole course in Florida.
