About Key West Golf Club
The city of Key West bought Stock Island land in 1923 and hired William Langford and Theodore Moreau to design an 18-hole course; nine holes officially opened September 3, 1924, as a municipal course. The Federal Emergency Relief Administration ran it from 1934, and nine more holes were added in the 1960s. Rees Jones and Keith Evans completely redesigned it in 1983, and all 18 greens were rebuilt after Hurricane Wilma's 2005 flooding. It is the southernmost course in the continental U.S. and the only 18-hole course in Key West.
