About Hideaway Central
The Central nine is one of three nine-hole layouts (Central, East, West) that form the 27-hole private Hide-A-Way Lake Golf Club in the gated Hide-A-Way Lake community, developed by James W. Fair beginning in 1967. The Central nine was renovated in 2005 as part of a $1.2 million-plus program that also rebuilt the West nine in 2004. Directories list it as a par-36 layout of 3,299 yards from the back tees; it pairs with the East nine (par 72, 6,573 yards) or the West nine (par 71, 6,247 yards) for 18-hole rounds. (Its original construction date is unverified.)
