About Hideaway West
The West nine is one of three nine-hole layouts (Central, East, West) that form the 27-hole private Hide-A-Way Lake Golf Club in the gated Hide-A-Way Lake community, developed by James W. Fair beginning in 1967. It was the first of the nines rebuilt in the club's 2004-05 renovation program, part of the "A New Day for Hideaway" $6 million facility upgrade that also produced a new clubhouse. Directories list it as a par-35 layout of 2,948 yards from the back tees, credited to John Haynes with Jeffrey D. Blume as renovation architect; it pairs with the Central nine (par 71, 6,247 yards) or the East nine (par 71, 6,222 yards). (Its original construction date is unverified.)
