Karsten Creek Golf Club

Karsten Creek is the vision of longtime Oklahoma State coach Mike Holder, who wanted a championship home course capable of hardening his Cowboys into national contenders. He persuaded Tom Fazio to carve a layout from rugged, wooded land west of Stillwater, and the course opened in 1994, immediately named Golf Digest's Best New Course. Named for Ping founder Karsten Solheim, whose support helped make it possible, the course threads tight fairways through blackjack oak and native prairie, with Lake Louise framing several dramatic holes. It plays as one of the most demanding tests in the country. As Oklahoma State's home course, Karsten Creek has hosted multiple NCAA Championships, including men's and women's finals, cementing its reputation as a proving ground for elite college and future professional talent.
