Keystone Ranch Course

The Ranch course was the first of two eighteen-hole layouts at Keystone Resort's golf complex, opening in 1980 to a design by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The front nine plays across open, links-like meadow that once belonged to a working cattle ranch, while the back nine climbs into dense lodgepole forest and wraps around a scenic nine-acre lake. The contrast of two distinct nines, wind-exposed high plain and tight tree-lined mountain, is the course's signature. At roughly 9,300 feet, thin Rocky Mountain air lengthens carries, and the Gore and Tenmile ranges provide a constant backdrop. The historic Keystone Ranch homestead nearby anchors the property's ranching heritage, and the layout remains one of Summit County's most respected resort tests.
